For more than nine decades, membership in the Players' Guild of Leonia has been an exciting and rewarding experience. If you love theater, our organization offers many opportunities for you to get involved - as a performer or by working back stage.
Membership in the Players' Guild of Leonia is a diverse mixture of theatre professionals, amateurs, third generation and newcomers. Active members are required to participate in production activities and not restrict themselves to performing. Subscribing and patron members support the Guild in a less active capacity. A nine member elected Board of Trustees directs our organization and assumes active leadership on committees.

As President for this 2010-11 Guild season, I would like to extend a personal invitation to you to be part of our "91st Year of Live Theater" .
As a member you will get a chance to see how we came to be awarded the title.
"Community Theater of the Year"
by the New Jersey Association of Community Theaters (NJACT). Your continuous support of our productions have proven to be the "back-bone" of our Guild.
This coming season will include exciting productions, workshops and behind the scenes happenings unsurpassed by any other theater ensemble in our area. Please join and become an active participant.
The historic Civil War Drill Hall Theatre is in need of a major spruce-up. We are beginning plans to repair, scrape, seal and repaint the outside of the building. We also hope to refurbish our beautiful deck area.
Special fund-raising events and individual donations will help us complete this necessary project.
We are privileged and proud to call this our home and will continue to keep this treasure in great shape with your help.

Next meeting: Thursday, September 16th, 2010.
Meetings are usually held the 3rd Thursday of each month, September to June, in the Civil War Drill Hall Theatre. Our evening begins at 7:30 with refreshments. The 8:00 PM business meeting is followed by a workshop presentation at about 8:30 PM. Mark you calendar for future Thursday workshops: September 16th, October 21st and November 18th.
